Bk10 vs Bk2 for work edc

Assuming that with either knife I would get the nylon sheath, is that sheath good enough or should I really look into a kydex sheath? Because I know that they can get rather pricy.

It'll really depend on your preference...i carried the bk2 in nylon 22 sheath every day for a year. It works just fine thou having to snap and unsnap the sheath every time you need it can become a nuisance.

Having a kydex sheath that you can just pop the knife in and out of makes it more convenient while working. No worries of it snagging something and becoming unsnapped, especially on a ladder.

Personally now that I have kydex I'll never use the nylon sheath again.

My first becker was and is my BK2 i love it. She is heave but perfect. The BK10 is nice but it just didn't speak to me like the 2. You will end up with both eventually usually sooner than later.

I plan on getting both. Only have one in the budget right now. Probably going to buy the bk10 first because I think it will meet my needs very well. Then in a few more months I'll get the 2, because....well...its an icon and I would feel bad not having it. This is going to turn into a very expensive habit...hope the wife doesn't get too angry lol
 
Haha, we feel ur pain!

Preloved BK2s are easy to come by pretty reasonably priced.

Check out the Exchange here on Bladeforums, you shouldn't have any problem getting a new or used BK2 at a decent price.

Sometimes things are best left unsaid, and if you can't beat her to the mail box buy from a shop lol.

And always remember some of the reasons why knives are better than wives.

1. You can beat on a knife without worry about going to jail
2. Knives don't get jealous if you wanna take another knife out to have fun with.
3.You can get a knife in any shape color or thickness you prefer
4. A knife won't take half your stuff if you decide it's not really working out for your needs.

don't forget you can play with 2 knives at the same time, anytime you want. :)
