Of course, BK12 was its intended designation with Camillus...Kabar never picked it up - instead giving Doug Ritter the go ahead to pursue production on his own - which is why it isn't labeled BK12

My salutes as well. I'm quite proud of my number too. Although I appreciate and use many different fine knives, I always recommend a Becker. I feel it's the best bang-for-the-buck knife you can get, that you won't feel guilty about using, and using HARD!
