bk14 good idea?

Just for easy of use I like using epoxy and stainless pins for the handles on my blades but I plan on using some 3/16th pivots as hardware...Will switch out the buttonhead torx screws for black oxide screws simmilar to the ones ESEE use (Anyone actually know where to buy screws like the ones ESEE use?)...14 is a good knife, best of both worlds.

Thanks! Black and toxic green G-10 will be cool...Better than black and yellow, which from what I've seen is more of a dull, drowned out yellow since the black mixes in a bit during the manufacturing process...Funny this only happens with red and yellow and not orange, green or whatever.

holy crap my bk14 already arived from amazon. i ordered it late night on tues. almost go tme in trouble but i grabbed the box before the old lady saw it. cant wait to open it a little later

Good Idea, I walk with my horizontal, and how much I walk in the forest is a good way to avoid catching on vines :D

I just keep telling my wife it is the same knife. It is the same with my bows. "Is that another new bow"? "No, I had it painted again".... "Oh btw those are nice shoes"............. Open it when she goes to sleep... lol.... Good luck..

holy crap my bk14 i sharp! probably the sharpest knife i own. its always bittersweet to have such a nice blade because i know i wont be able to keep it that sharp :(

once i get it unwrapped and inside she cant tell the difference between my knives ;)

How is that attached to the sheath? Expoxy?

It comes with a pre-sized strip of 3M VHB (Very High Bond) tape. Once cured (about 72 hours) it might as well be epoxy, I haven't been able to get it to budge. The clip itself has a retention mechanism, so whatever you clip it onto it stays put, even when you draw or yank the knife out of the sheath. I usually leave it clipped onto the MOLLE webbing on the shoulder strap of my pack like so:

But you can clip it damn near anywhere. I originally set it up that way for in-waist-band carry, for which it works great.

Hell no. Steer clear of the BK14.
Get you an Izula or ESEE 3, they have a much better warranty.

And their sheaths won't dull the blade.

Betcha wasn't expecting that.

:D

Moose
Moose!! How could you?.........I'm hart broken :concern:
