Not familiar with epoxy putty. Hard to use and how please? That's crap. Epoxy putty should fix that up nicely, however. Just fill the gaps. Or you can make a new spacer that fits in the middle between the scales. I can't say my tolerances are always the same, as I've noticed that there seems to be some differences between the handle fits on my Beckers though. The handle I made that fits my 10 has a pretty large gap when I fit them to my 2. But I don't charge for my scalesCertainly not that much, especially for micarta.
After the pics, I call bullshit on that one. Caveat Emptor.

Send them back for a refund if you can. Then get the ESEE micarta scales. There are loads of stores selling them in Europe. Heinnie in the UK has them for 19 GBP. Thats 29 bucks.
Could have gotten them here for about 15 Euros, thought SC did good work! They don't do refunds so they'll get a bad score from me since they haven't even taken the time to write back to address the problem.
To me it looks like the scales are upside down, however it also looks like a poor fit. Is the gap just on the inside or is the fit along the spine no good also?
Tried to fit them in several ways and no dice. The fit around the spine is fine.
