BK14 micarta scales **Resolved**

Hey Lecter, would you sell me your Ka-Bar micarta when you get the ones from Saint Cutlery? Or the SC ones if you like the Ka-Bar ones better? If so, shoot me a PM!

Let me think about as I might be getting another knife...

yeah, slapping some putty in there, even some extra, lining them all up, and them sammiching them together, and screwing down, will basically make the problem go away.

perfect custom fit basically.

you can even find a type with fiberglass mixed in, when that sets, forget about it. put some in the threads too. permanent :)

i've actually considered doing this to grivory, packing it with "stuff", to make them more solid feeling and eliminate ANY chance of moisture getting in there.

but it also sounds like the vendor solved other problems.

*This*

I was thinking along the same lines with nylon spacers stacked on the machine screws between the scales but threaded putty sounds even better.

Yeah, went out and got some putty today.

Guess I don't need it anymore. :)

Glad to know it got resolved man, it's comforting knowing that some people it there are still standup guys. And you couldn't have asked for a better resolution! Can't wait to see the pictures.

Thanks again for that putty tut you did for me! :)

Just putting my bid in early. You know how we like knife porn.

Lecter the micarta collector.

Well, better late than never, and that's some pretty great CS there.
I guess there's a chance he saw this thread and replied then, but still...
