I just have to bring this forum back I just found out the sad news the 15 ... Retired... Why... I said WHY MY FAVORITE KNIFE. That was a bit dramatic but seriously now I won't use my bk 15 as much ... scared I'll break it

So many people love this knife. I'm surprised they discontinued it as well.

They haven't disappeared...
Beat the snot out of it and grab a back up. Your not breakin it...youd have to do something really stupid for that to happen
 
I love seeing all the pics of the 15. Here's the one I rehandled a couple of weeks ago. I still havent made a sheath for it, but it is next on the list.

Thanks! That Elk hoove almost makes the knife look small. I had an amazing hunt this year. If you need a do everything camp knife that you can carry on long hunts and process large game like Elk with this one is tough to beat. This Elk went down in some dense timber so the BK15 did some landscaping duties as well so I could have room to work. I have always thought of hunting when I see trailing points so I got this with the intention of it serving double duty as a game processing knife and a survival/camp knife. It seems to strike a good balance between the two.
 
That's awesome!! I wish more people would have seen that it's not "just a kitchen/steak knife."
 
I've had a 5 since they came out. I always thought the 15 looked nice and would be a handy tool, but never got one. Then I saw this thread. Now I have one! Even better in hand than on screen! Now to put it to use... Thanks for the inspiration!
