Derek, thank you for this thread, it's a real inspiration for me. I'm thinking about making something similar (well, I just ordered most of the stuff I'll need), but with a slightly bigger pouch.

Especially the air-welt (R) is a great idea for a klutz like me who always gets dirt into his sheaths. I got a great one from Martin Swinkels and ruined it in a week.
