I'm confused. Maybe somebody could clear this up for me: Does it have a laser pointer built into the grips?

That would totally make sense because I always miss my target when I throw knives. Durrr

Excellent first post.

I was wondering about the name laser strike as well, I thought mebbe it was a back-up knife for when yer out playing laser tag?

Although thinking about it, using said back-up knife might be considered escalation of hostilities since the lasers don't actually cause damage whereas said back-up knife probly would.

Would one respond by then aiming said lasers at said knife wielders eyes?

It's called the laser strike not the laser handle. You strike lasers with it. You never had to hit a laser when out in the bush? Where do you camp?

That's just silly. Laser strike is much like "snake bite." It's what you have after you have been in close contact with a laser.

Laser strike is reference to Transformers, S03E05 in which Optimus Prime fights a new decepticon disguised as a chia-pet scooby doo. The decepticon uses a giant sword called the Laser Strike. Crazy trivia eh?

Honestly, I had my eye on the LS for a minute, but as it came closer to release time, I debated more and more. After seeing the BK16 I would have to say that I definitely prefer drop point over spear point. So were I to choose, I would go with either the BK16, or an ESEE4, because that's really more comparable than the Laser Strike. The Laser Strike would be better compared to the Ontario Ranger Assault Knife, or the Ontario SK5 Blackbird. In fact that is what got me excited about it, because at the time I was digging the spearpoint look on the RAK and it's obvious that the two are very, very similar. I'm actually looking for something in the 4-5in range to replace my IzulaII in the woods, so I can leave it home for EDC. Kind of a tangent here, but how would you guys compare the BK16, ESEE4, Bark River Bravo 1/Gunny/Northstar, and the Fallkniven F1? For all-around camp and cutting...I mean seriously, who batons with a 4 inch knife? Love my Junglas btw. :D I've never had a Becker. Sell me.

What's a fecker? Just curious. Typo perhaps? I have things that rhyme with that but they start with a B or P and neither has failed me yet. Hmmmm wonder what it could be.....
