BK3

I keep mine in the trunk of my car. Since I'm not on a SWAT team this blade saw almost no use. However, just holding it really lets you feel the merit it has. I feel very good having it in the car knowing it's up for anything.

I just got mine. I will say it really seems like a wonderful multipurpose tool.

I’ve had a few BK3’s.
They always seem like a perfect rig to keep in the car/truck.
Mine never saw any use.
As much as I like and appreciate the design, I just can’t justify keeping one if I’m not gonna use it.
That’s just my own thoughts though.

Keeping a 3 in your vehicle for a just in case moment or need is a good idea ;) Would sure come in handy if you ever ran across someone hurt and trapped in there car or truck

Having owned both the BK3 and the BK2 without using either due to better options being available at the time, I'd say the 3 seems like the perfect car tool but I'd argue for 90% of what you'd need a knife/tool for in your car the BK2 would be just as, if not more, useful.

Jonny1280 makes practical sense with what he says, but, speaking at the very least for myself, this knife hobby thing that we have is more passion than practical. If I didn't keep what I didn;t use - more than half my knives would be gone ... the BK2 not among the goners.

Back to the BK3, what a great tool. I dare say art, in a utilitarian sort of way.

Are there any good YouTube videos or reviews of these?
Abuse tests?

I just don't know why I'd buy one?
I'd love one without that guthook and the serrations!

Idk if anyone has one like That?

good for gardening, chopping, cutting roots, that sort of thing.

carpentry? prying, bashing, yanking nails, open things that don't wanna be opened.

makes a reasonable baton for kindling.

i could also do with the "gut hook" (it's a wire breaking, paracord cutter, and yanker of things, not for guts)

here's a couple weird ones :D

I picked up the 3 and the 10 recently to complete my collection of in production Becker’s.

I waited on the 10 because I have the 12 and they’re similar in size. I really had no idea what I would do with the 3, then SALTY explained to me its connection to a certain no longer living despot.

In hand, the 3 is very impressive.

i pulled two from the box. looking into the 4140 heat treat protocol

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

what looks like rust isn't. these are timeless. the blood of invaders though... mmm. yes.

the traps still work :>

not including these, so there's probably about a few hundred of these blanks. most will never see the light of day, but keep in mind, if *I* ever make these live, they will have a bladite stamp on them. they will not be passed off as original old ones. that would be wrong.

some of the old old old stuff i've seen pop up lately, smacks of "old stock, refurbed, sold as NIB" - lame - hate

Is there a good place to go read about the history of the 3? You've definitely peaked my interest...
