BK3

Well, made up my mind... Will be purchasing one soon. For the things I do at the house or when I'm out and about I know this piece of steel will get used, and hopefully not for extracting persons or myself out of a vehicle, but if that situation arises I'm pretty sure it will get the job done. Man, I love the backstories on these blades.

The BK3 was one of the first Beckers to to catch my eye in magazines back in the 80s when I was a teenager. Unfortunately I never bought any back then as my priorities revolved around raising hell in my Chevy Nova. I finally picked on up the other year and can't wait until I need to do some demo work to try it, but not being a door buster, it'll probably remain unused. I had considered that if it were longer, non-serrated, with no hook, it could be transformed into a backwoods timber framing tool, a combo stright froe for splitting and a chisel.

I agree...I'd love a Big, simple Becker froe!

The kool thing about these handles is that with a modicum of inspiration, a swappable handle system could be devised to accomplish a wide range of jobs. A spear handle, a froe handle, a predator trap...
