So the story goes, I was trying my hand at the try sticks with the BK9 having a blast marveling at how much I've come to enjoy this knife and its battling for my favorite Becker
I had a tree fall at the bottom of the driveway and I figured before I brought the chainsaw out I'd hack off all the branches with the BK4 to get some time in with it, since its next to me I grab the 9 as well. I get down there and there is a good amount of branches so I figure one side I'll use the 4 and the other I'll use the 9 and I start with the 4, well one thing led to another and the BK4 kinda just wanted to keep chopping more than just branches so
still wanted to keep going
The 4 is a badass
I wanted to keep going with the 4 but I had never used the 9 to chop before only wood working, as off as that may be, and everyone says what a great chopper it is. I take a shot at the first branch and it didn't go through like the 4 did but it sort of like exploded chunks of the 1 1/2 maybe 2" branch I figured this side was just harder and 2nd shot its through. move onto the next branch same size same thing, next branch one whack and through but this
that's the branch next to it that it cut through, its not like I was beating on it although I did take it from the try stick to being outside in 14F probably 10 -15mins sitting there while I used the 4
I'm pretty bummed but there's a warranty right?
I looked for the missing piece and couldn't find it so I'm going to go ahead and thank the creator for it not being in me
