Thanks for the photo's John!!!! Interesting little plastic coffin; can you open it and close it again? Looks as if the sides are not sealed closed???? If I were you...I'd open it and handle it ;)

Well there is good new, it can be opened and closed back. It has two small places that snap open and closed. If you would like some pics out of the pack, Just let me know.

Tin sue, I am very pleased with it. Thank you very much for the opportunity to own one of these.

Thanks,
John

Woo...A Black Blade!!! That must be what Goose was talking about...(Goose and his "Titanium blade"...)

"Edge 2000 Technology"...So it's no older than seven years??? I can't make out the tang stamp (if there is one)...

Thanks for posting the pics! This thread goes in my archives! ;)

Wow,,,surprised it didn't cut its way out of the clammie..

Thanks for the pics. Quite interesting.

Is that Edge 2000 a sticker on the outside of the clammie or inside?
Just curious.

Was just wondering if some Buck rep might have stuck it on there later on.. So many little mysteries..

I am puzzled, maybe Mr. Joe could shed some light on this subject.

I think we present Joe with more questions than he has answers... :D

With the move to Idaho and the loss of the old work force, many of our questions will probably only receive guesses for answers...

I'm more intrigued by what has gone unasked...mainly, how does U. S. Merchants/Diversified Re-Packaging get their Buck knives to re-package??? Do the major retailers order from Buck in bulk and ship the knives (and flashlights and other trinkets) to US Merchants for packaging??? I don't see Buck getting into the cardboard processing/printing/vacuum forming/plastics industry...

I can see how Buck would have no idea how their knives get clampacked (or otherwise packaged) and sold, unless US Merchants kept them appraised of the process...Buck would have to provide a lot of the product information on the package, and probably photos as well (or maybe US Merchants does that too), but the end product might never even be seen by Buck...

I could be wrong, of course...One argument is that the legal department at Buck (one lawyer + one clerk?...a team of lawyers and a building full of clerks?) would have to know what is being done, for a variety of reasons...

...More questions...Maybe we need another forum... :p

Wow Johnwaynesandw...
If you didn't want that, I sure would. It would be a user for me.
Love that black blade more than my "titanium" blasde  ;)

I bet the first tin can you stuck it through would take that coating off... :D
