Black Lip Pearl collection

My blacklip piece isn't high end at all, but it does make for an elegant and high quality little EDC.

That's a nice piece of black lip on it, Roger. It's not too often you seen purples and blues so prominently mixed in with the greens, reds and pink!

I own three knives with blacklip, and I love the stuff.

Oh, and how could I have forgotten Van Barnett's multi-faceted
Black-lip pearl handled art dagger....

Enjoy!

All the best,

David, I can't say that I've ever seen a more beautiful dagger handle. It has the look of stained glass windows. Absolutely amazing!

Some very fine pieces here. Thanks all for sharing some of your black lip beauties.

I'm with BowieBooster - Barnett's black lip dagger is off the hook impressive!!!! Thanks for the eye candy David. Have always loved Dellana's creativity with gold in her knives.

Gus, please post some of your black lip creations!

This one was made by our own Chuck Gedraitis in 2005....picture is not fabulous in showing the pearl, but it is quite lovely:

This one is not black lip, it is brown lip, if you will permit me. I got it from Jon Brand, made by Don Hanson, and I carry it, carried it this evening in a custom made(full boat custom) Clipcase in black elephant by Paul Long:

Got this beauty(top one) by Billy Mace Imel from Don Guild about 5 years ago as well:

I also have a real nice folder by Art Washburn in blacklip, and a slipjoint coming from Jerry Halfrich....black lip is my all time favorite handle material, bar none!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

The pearl on that folder kills me. I haven't really seen anything else like it in my travels. I think it has all the beauty of black lip pearl plus some extra colors not in the blacklip spectrum.

Well Steve, As you have that thing with BLP, here are
four beauties by Ken Steigerwalt...

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

From the Don Guild collection in "The World of Art Knives" (2010)

Actually, a couple of "couples." ;) Numbers aside, nice pearl on all of them, and I love the design and look of the top dagger!

Here is one more BLP handle "Dripping Gold" lockback by Dellana.
This time a mini... “Starfire” was made in 1999 with an overall
length of 3 1/2” (89 mm).

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)
