  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Black Micarta with red liners

That is one beautiful sheath. Perfect, well, nearly perfect for that blade.

Wasn't happy with the original sheath. Made a new one.

The tip of the blade has a very slight upsweep to it and was causing it to catch every once in a while. Normal sheathing didn't cause it but if you hit it at a certain angle it would catch, that would bother the daylights out of me if it were mine. I know reworking sheaths doesn't get knives out quicker, but at least you get the peace of mind that I'm a stubborn arsehole!:p
Did the new sheath clear up the issue?

Did the new sheath clear up the issue?
Yeah, I increased the width (spine to edge) at the top of the split by about an 1/8 to 3/16". The tip now has more clearance so the handle starts to line up with the wet forming and guides the blade in straight enough to keep the point away from the welt where it would snag occasionally.

That probably made no sense whatsoever!!
