Blade 2011

Thanks again Murray. I was unable to make the trip this year and your photos and descriptions brought some of the show to me!

Peter

Jim is one of the good guys in our community and has been making knives for a long time. I guess I have known him for 20 years or so. He is nothing short of a gentleman. I always look forward to seeing him.

100% right Gus. Mr. Ragsdale is one of the best.

Wow Murray, Great job capturing the show. You have shown me more things I missed, my head just spins. Very nice to speak with you, I hope we can do it again.

Great thread and pics Murray! Thank you for putting so much time and energy into it. I'm getting to see a ton of beautiful work here that I missed seeing at the show. I love these recap threads!

Thanks mucho Murray for this labour of love.
I really enjoyed putting faces on knife makers I know through their work only!

Cal

Murray, thank you for this thread and your dedication. We get to see so many friends and so much amazing work. I realized I missed a lot at the show.
Thank you again Murray. It was good to see you again.

Murray,

Thank you for all the hard work you put into your Blade Show Reviews.

I enjoy seeing a lot of the people and knives I didn't get a chance to see.

Have a safe trip home and I look forward to seeing you again next year.

Charles

Thanks to Murray, lots of people get to see lots of other people seeing lots of knives.

Murray, what you do is selfless. Way to go!

Bob

I agree with Bob Betzner, Murray... You do indeed work hard on these show threads in a selfless way.. I'm sure it's fun for you and Phyllis as well, but it's also time consuming.. I know I write the same darn thing every year, but you, Buddy, RL, Roger, Steven, Coop, and others give us guys who can't attend a real flavor of the events... It's fun to see photos of people you "know", but have never met... And then there are the knives.... Man oh Man, some beauties were shown.. Thanks again very much Murray! Best Regards, Rich

Thanks for the great thread Murray and for covering the Annual CKCA Banquet.
Didn't know just how much of the show I missed until seeing your great images.

I look like a swetty pig in that one photo. Man was hot bringing in all booth stuff.

Heck, Kevin after reading some of the threads I now find out I missed seeing Zaza, RJ Martin - not sure where he hides. Would love to have that fighter of his if he made it with wood or mammoth etc and not micarta. Did not see Les either. Oh, and was Rob Brown at the show? Would have like to have had chance to "chat" with him.

Hi Murray: I'm sorry you missed me, too. I was at table 10M, across from Busse. Les Robertson was across the aisle from me. See you next year!

Thanks for all the pictures............I really enjoyed looking thru the thread.........and as always it was good to see you and your wife again, Tom

Great Job as always Murry. My Table was right between Erik Fritz and Kyle Royer. Sorry i missed you there.

Thanks for all the nice photo's! Great work guys! Anybody can be a negative critic but I try not be that kinda guy. But those all look perfect.

Hello Murray.
Just wonderful to see the results of the work and time spent in putting this showing together !!! A very special thank you for the "push" coming from the well known collector that you are. Frank.
