Blade 2013 thread! (KAI related)

Pre-ordered the 0770. I know... I was all fired up about the 566, but when I saw pictures of the 0770, I couldn't help myself.
 
What would you call the blade shape of the 0770? What types of uses is this shape best suited for?
 
really liking the 0770 with cf, will it still be an assisted knife, or will it get the bearing system ?? with the bearing pivot, that would def seal the deal!!

Modified sheeps-foot? Not sure. It is similar to the Benchmade Griptilian, sort of. Which I have found quite useful for all sorts of cutting. And it is my wife's favorite knife, if usage says anything about it. I think it will be a handy blade.

I preordered 2 0770s as soon as I realized that I was not going to get a 0777. It's all good though, as much as I would have loved to try Vanax35, the Elmax 0770 will be excellent I'm sure. The CF version we saw from the Blade photos looked great, it's a significant improvement over the black AL. Either way, love the blade shape on that. Had I mentioned that I really want a blackwashed 0300 and 0560 too? Dang. :(

join the club, dude. I have the 0600 on pre-order and now the 0801CF as well... and i’ll be needing one of those 560BW’s too. Why do they do this to us!? Do they think we’re all corporate executives with too much expendable income!? :)
 
Will you be offering a blackwashed version of the 566?

I would really like to own one of those. (Save me the trouble of acid washing, stone washing, and heat anodizing it myself. ;) )
 
Sorry if this was mentioned earlier, but if it was I missed it. Is the 0454 and KVT flipper, or an SpeedSafe deployment?

I have several 0770 folders on preorder. Excellent substitute for the 0777 now that it has CF scales. Great functionality, size, price and aesthetics.

This isn't just directed at you but in general for everyone in this thread. Please read through the thread before asking questions. There is also a search function where you could simply put " zt 0454" and a few threads with the info you need will pop up. Asking people to do your work for you when it is easily available is counter productive for the thread and everyone in general. I'm not trying to be mean here, but it is a reoccuring theme I'm seeing. Please take a minute read the stickies and you'll be set, thanks
 
The 0454 and 0566 have my complete attention. Honestly, I love the D2 cutting edge on the 1660CB and so I am super stoked about the 0454. The 0566 is probably going to be my EDC, once it's released. Thanks KAI Corp for the good pics.

I appreciate this thread, it has been a great way for those of use that are passionate about new Kai Blades to stay informed.
I guess my search of "KVT" and "SpeedSafe" were not good enough, I just found it while going through all the search results for "0454", I didn't think to search for "flipper". And, I didn't see anything on this in the stickies. Thanks for being so helpful.
