With all this wonderful advice I make three assumptions:
The responders have all had bad experiences with Blade auction, they have all tried to make Blade Auction a better place (and failed), and they all no longer use it.
I look forward to reading about some of the things you all have done to attempt to make Blade auction better. Perhaps there are some ideas that might work if tried again. Even more, I look forward to reading about the other knife auction sites that offer the quantity and prices I find on Blade auction.
Yes, Blade auction has been mighty frustrating at times. The list of problems is nearly endless (almost as long as the posts saying "don't bother"). But, I myself have not found another auction site that offers the quantity, variety and prices I've found there. I have found some excellent deals and some great knives. Every knife I've bought there I gotten for way less than if I'd bought it from store. Other knife auctions I've visited don't come close. Note that my interests lie in quality production auto folders which Blade auction carries.
I read about the worse problems with Ebay but rarely do I read about people no longer dealing with them. Oh sure, there's a few but I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that the majority of you all hold an active Ebay account.
The bottom line is, sure, Blade auction has problems, so does driving in a big city and Social Security. We can't (easily) change the last two but when I started this thread I actually thought we had a chance with Blade auction.
Thanks for clueing me in....JC III
