Blade Forums Spring Street Barlow (BF Knife 2021)

Scheduled for Saturday but delivered today. I’ve owned enough knives from GEC to get a fair understanding of what they are capable of. They exceeded my expectations. Everything is spot on. I absolutely love the size. The blade shape is as perfect as any knife I’ve handled. Sharp and centered. To top it off the BladeForums tang stamp is as clean and sharp as possible. It’s the little things like that that make this very special. I hope my photos do it justice.B4C55462-D7EA-4B16-8D7A-596190AE4FD3.jpeg3048E351-3C7D-4092-BFB1-07EAB785F359.jpeg24B584E3-87DA-45BF-B2DD-C17004B3E863.jpeg

How'd you get 2 of them? In that first photo huh?!!?? Ha ha Just kidding!! Lovely photos! Captured some beautiful detail in those. Thanks for sharing. Always good when those expected shipments show up early.

USPS did good! I like the bolster a lot. Pull is a pretty light 4ish at best on mine.

Copperhead sure would’ve popped on this one! ;)
When I first looked at mine fresh out of the tube it reminded me a bit of my 97 coke bottle blade a bit and I immediately had some concern that this large-ish blade would have the same weak pull.
My 97 is maybe a 4-5, my Spring Street has a 6-7, maybe a bit more, but it's perfect, great snap and not a nail breaker.

The color came out quite a bit more red than I was expecting. Given the past hemlock knives I have seen, I was expecting some a little different. Not that I am complaining mind you, it looks amazing. I can't wait to see mine in person when it arrives.

Sharp, good looking knife , but that ain't brown - its red and black.

Two (2) BF 2021 knives arrived today !!! WOooHOoo !!!
Haven't opened mine yet and won't even ever open the other one
Will Power Will Power ... I'm delighted to forward your knife to you in Europe :)
Will, I'll get to the post office as soon as I print the labels and forms. Hopefully today, but it may be first thing in the morning. Coming to ya ~~~

Is this new one the same thickness as the 19BF knife?

If the Spring Street is the same as the 2AB then I suspect it will run a bit thinner than the 2019 BF 86. The wood covers and bolsters are noticeably thicker on the 2019 knife.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping for since that was my only complaint about the 2019 knife. And at the same time that makes me very sad cuz now I REALLY want one but don't think it'll ever happen given how limited the numbers of these are.
