I would really like something very simple without all of the shiny bits of a Khuk sheath and without the piggy back tools.
 
I think a leather sheath (rather than the standard scabbard) would be a good move on this piece.
 
If you make a wooden model of it I'll make you a sheath. Just gotta give me some basic drawings of what you want. Its pretty normal protocol for a wooden model to preceed a run of blades. It would be nice to have a sheath to go with the model.
 
I want one too. that would make the perfect costume knife for a renaissance or medieval costume. Those kinds of knives were common throughout Europe from the dark ages until today. A classic design.

Wow, that is a great offer. I have seen the recent posts of your sheaths and they are awesome, exactly the type I was thinking for a blade like this. Once this comes closer to fruition, this is something to definitely keep in mind, even though I have never made a wooden model of a blade. We will figure this out.
 
Listen to Bri in Chi young jedi. He will show you the way. Maybe get some basswood carving advice from Sarge too. Although since hes been digging we haven't seen as much of him. I think hes out there enjoying the spring more than any of us so far.:thumbup:

Miss Yangdu asked my thoughts on a scabbard and I told her it would be nice to have a standard scabbard with a frog and if possible no chape.
But if there absolutely has to be a chape then make it with a rounded end, also that brown leather instead of black would be nice.
I hope that's fine with everyone.
If someone wants a leather sheath instead of a scabbard then maybe Leatherface would make some?
Keep him busy and outta trouble.;)

Oh dang you bastids really got me curious now. Why all the hinting? Can we get the knife or what?

OK, just got a quick reply from Yangdu, and she said it is a great idea and she is forwarding the info from this thread to the Birgorkha shop. I want to make sure this is done right, so does anyone have anymore input on this to make sure we are getting what we want? Thanks for all of the help so far.
