My preference is varied as I carry more than one edc folder and depending on the day’s tasks I will switch up.

Normally at my regular work day I carry a Buck Vanguard pro 3.25 blade and a Buck 303 Cadet 2.5 blade. I also have in my pickup console a Buck 110 in case I need more blade for bigger jobs. Some days I switch to a Buck Marksman 3.5 inch just to get some time with it. I’m torn between the two as both make excellent edc knives. On weekends I carry a 110 sport or the marksman.

Hi all,
My 1st post here, been lurking for a while. I voted for 2 3/4 thru 3.5". My ideal daily carry is the Bugout, and the mini bugout around the house. I have been a fan of Kerhsaws and Benchmades. In my search for the lightest knife, with a decent blade, have landed on the Bugout, DLC blades in S30V and carbon fiber scales seen to hit the sweet spot for me. Enjoy seeing what everyone else likes to carry and the all the fancy knives.

Long and hard...

In all seriousness, I would say my collection averages 3.25" TBH.

Voted for 2.5". Two of my favorite knives are Seahorse and Teardrop from Case - short blades with long enough handles. I observed for myself that with over 3" blade I use the portion of the blade closer to the ricasso and the tip is swinging around with wide arcs. More often I've felt uncomfortable of having too much length of a blade. Of course, i am discussing a pocket knife to be pulled out of pocket if an accidental need happens. So, evidently the 84mm SAK is my my favorite size of these (the Bantam is the only SAK I carry from time to time).
