Blade purchases on BF's Fair Prices?

I understand the sentiment of the OP and largely agree that said BF is a market as much as a community and I often use it that way. I'm sure many others do as well. I will often look around here to see what a knife is going for before I buy it (here or somewhere else). Then if and when I want to sell it I do the exact same thing. I don't give a thought to what I paid because it doesn't matter. No one is going to pay more because I overpaid and I don't expect them to. I on the other hand when selling I would ask whatever a knife is going for at the time when I decide to sell it. Usually its a loss that's kind of an accepted thing when selling something used. Rarely and I mean rarely I have cleared a little usually not enough to cover shipping so still a loss but not as bad.

What bothers me is the nearly uniform practice of removing the price after the knife is sold. If people left prices up, we'd have a more fair market for everyone. Removing the prices just helps out the players who are trying to make an unfair profit.
I agree it'll eventually oust the flippers and show their true color in the end. Besides that why take it down after the sale unless your trying to conceal something from someone. Oh and I don't think I've ever made a profit on a sale of a knife, but I'm not in it for the $$ I just like knives.

Of course some flippers conveniently out themselves and make it really easy to add them to the ignore list.
Of course, some idiots make assumtions they can't verify, and make it easy for me to want to troll them wherever I see them. I've not bought anything with the intention of selling it. Hoarder is a more accurate label, since you insist on applying them so freely.

Interesting that such a remark comes from someone equipped to sell on this site toward someone who isnt.

Please, continue your snowflake superiority posturing. I'm having a shitty day at work already and it amuses me. Cyka blyat! More stuck logs, please...

I couldn't possibly care less how much someone gets for his/her knife, here or elsewhere. The few I've bought in the Exchange have been ones I wanted where they were priced at what I thought was an appropriate number. If they hadn't been, I'd have scrolled right past them. I'm utterly unconcerned with whether someone else might have felt differently about the price.

We all like to buy cheap and some have limited funds which can hamper them some.
There are 3 ways you are going to get one of these high demand low availability items. You either have to be very lucky and get the original offering, find a generous seller who doesn't mark it up (or very little) or pay a marked up price. The 1st 2 go extremely quickly(almost instantaneously, due to 80 others wanting it at that price also) and it most likely isn't going to be you that gets it. Usually the generous seller is then rewarded by seeing the buyer then mark it up. The 3rd (marked up price ) is your best bet at getting one. They may sit long enough to give you a shot, though it a pricy one. It is up to you to decide if it is worth it to you. If the price is too outrageous no one will buy and it will come down.
It all supply and demand
Usually I would just move on, but if it is something I want enough and feel I will keep forever, I can talk myself into it.
Can't get everything you want-sucks doesn't it :)

This. I've seen people try to justify it and I've never bought their reasoning - it simply doesn't make sense.
