BLADE SHOW ’07 – Show us what you got; Please!

Dang.....I thinking that '08 is DEFINATELY out for me testing for JS:D As for the show, I will be gettig there Thrusday night and staying over at the smoker friendly Sheraton Suites;) I am now a loyal Hilton and Starwood guy because they tolerate my one remaining nasty habit, but I will definately be in the Pit making a nuisance of myself as much as possible:thumbup:

Wow, thanks for posting the photos of what Shawn is bringing to Blade, those are outstanding!!

Frank H.

Hi guys, Shawns a lazy bastid and should be on here telling you this himself. Well he's actually busy packing and doing last minute knife stuff.

The big sucker is an integral and he won "best forged" with it at the Australian Knifemakers Guild show a few weeks ago. Duck if he starts waving it around.

The bowie in the second picture won him "best damascus" and the linen micarta fighter tied with my S30V linen micarta fighter for "best tactical" Before you guys go patting him on the back, remind him who won best hunter and best utility. :D

Please Email me with whatever you currently have available.

Both very nice Mike.

That Bowie is a beast. Great ivory, damascus, guard, temper line.
Can't quite tell from the photo angle, is it a frame handle?

Thanks for posting those Dan. All very nice, however that fighter and sheath are beyond words. So lets just go five thumbs up!

So how do I say this correctly? And please give me latitude if I don't.

You do the period pieces probably better than anyone, and you have carved a very successful nitch for yourself and you know how much I love them. However, I don't think you are appreciated, or probably better said; noticed enough for your ability to create ANY piece of any style or embellishment to the very TOP standard of design, performance, fit and finish.

Here are a couple that I am bringing.
The first on is my Riverfront model. It has a 11 7/8" W-2 blade with nickel silver fittings and a African blackwood handle. I was not going for anything real fancy with this one, just real clean lines was what I was after. OAL is 17 1/16".

The next one is called Slither. I have been playing around with recurves lately and I came up with this model. It is a bit different than the normal bowies/figthers that I do. It has a 10" w-2 blade. The guard is a 4 piece affair featuring a french greyed collar, 496 layer damascus, nickel silver and then another piece of 496 layer damascus. The handle is a piece of Belah wood from Australia.
