Last one for the show, I think?

Scagel style folder

The blade is 3-5/16 in long and is forged to shape 1095. The bolster is my own random pattern copper/brass mokume. The handle is made up of ebony,
cocobolo, and bronze spacers. There are 2 red spacers and the last piece before the stag is brass. The end pieces are India stag. Titanium liners that I have anodized blue. No filework, I wanted to keep the knife plain and simple. This is the only one that I have put mokume on, and since it's my own it makes the knife sole authorship. Overall length is 7-3/4 inches.
Thanks for looking,
Chuck

I've always liked those scagel-style folders Chuck - very nice indeed.

Young Mr. Gann is certainly advancing at a rapid pace. Very slick work.

Sure most of you have seen this set of knives in progressive stages of completion on the other thread, however thought I would post a final photo here as these are "07 Blade Show knives and it may be helpful for future Show reference.

Here is the last one Don Hanson made to take to Atlanta. He was able to get a couple of folders made after finishing his MS test knives. This is also shown in the traditional forum, taking an older traditional design and making an 'upscale' slipjoint using damascus. This large amber stag slippie has a blade that is right under 4-inches, but is very light in the hand with its titanium liners. Don said he was so happy with the way this one turned out, more upscale slippies will show up at Sunfish Forge down the road.

Just kidding in giving you a hard time over your post the other day.:D ;)

Beautiful piece all around. Like the long clip. Nice crisp lines and execution of the fittings.

That is fantastic looking, Nick! :D What grit is the finish on the blade?
