I know that some of you have seen this knife posted on another forum. It will be offered for sale in the ABS auction. The photo is by PointSeven Studios.

It is a collaboration knife made by myself and Jean-Paul Thevenot of Dijon, France. Jean-Paul made the blade; I made the handle and guard. The blade is 5160. The handle is ebony with ivory inlays. The inlays are checkered 30 lines per inch. The guard is hot caustic blued mild steel. The ferrule and butt cap are niter blued mild steel.

Here are a couple from Anders Hogstrom.

The first is named "Gambler": 5" clay tyemp. blade - great hamon. Antiqued and texture sterling fittings w. copper spacer. Blue/Brown walrus handle. Has a leather boot/stocking sheath

The second one is named "Off-Set": 4 1/4" clay temp. blade - real good hamon on this one also. Antiqued and textured sterling fitting w. bronze spacer.. handle is a walrus artifact ( used to be an axe), Anders left the butt end raw. Leather sheath, boot/stocking style.

Steve, that D-guard is something else. I really like it. Do you know where a person can see some of Jean-Paul's work?

Thanks Keith,

The only photos that I have seen of Jean-Paul's work are a couple of pictures in the December, 2007 issue of "Knives Illustrated".

That's a beauty Steve. I always like the ABS auction.

Here's a knife that Flavio Ikoma will be bringing to Blade this year...Copper/Niobium and Carbon Fiber clad Damasteel Guardian Angel Flipper. This knife also has a carved Damasteel pocket clip and full backspacer.
