Dang John I hope that the hunter lasts long enough for me to see it.

Two super knives, John! I could become good friends with that 10-inch recurve. The stag on it looks awesome!

John I really like those. Tough call between the two of them, but the elegance of the first one is really striking to me.

Oh My Goodness! I anticipate a repeat of the glassy eyed stare that gets me every year at Blade after looking at and being able to handle knives of this quality with this level of imagination, inspiration and vision. Not only that but meeting you makers and getting my questions answered knowledgeably. I'm all goose bumpy just thinkin' about it!! I may have to open the safe tonight and fondle my Dietmar Kressler Gent's knife or ole' Bub Worrel's Damascus stag handled hunter. See ya in Atlanta guys.

By the way, I know Bub is gone but he seemed like an interesting guy, did any of you know him well?

Makers, please post up your knives as you finish them.
It helps Blade Show bound collectors and dealers know what's available and where to go for it.

I am doing a run of 15 of these for Paragon Asheville Steel and am cranking out as many as possible before the show. The ladder pat. damascus is by The Cloisters. The design is mine and Robb Anderson of Paragon is letting me finish them any way I wish. This is just too much fun to get paid for, well..almost.

thanks kevin! that's desert ironwood, i've been working with it some lately and really like the look and feel, so dense.

The more reddish tint rather brown threw me off. Great looking ironwood.
Maybe, the color is off on my monitor. I found myself wondering the same thing on another piece of ironwood
the other day.

Wow! Whata lotta great reasons to attend BLADE this year. Every maker represented in this thread so far is bringing work that is emminently notable and worthy in one way or another. Impressive.

I'll be assisting Eric Eggly and Point 7 during BLADE this year and I really look forward to seeing some of these knives up close. Sharp by Coop will also be doing business at BLADE again this year and, as BladeForums' 'favorite son' photographer I know you guys will be keeping him busy too.

Think that's one of your best yet.
It's a big one too. Hope I get a chance to take a look
before it goes to the new owner.
