Blade Show 2013 is just a little over Five weeks away. Some are already completing knives so
I guess it’s time to post the "Annual Show Us Your Knives" thread
.

We would sure appreciate pre-views of any BLADE bound knives makers care to share. Even if you post photos
in a separate thread, please post them here as well. For future reference, it's very convenient to have all
'2013 BLADE Show knives in one thread.

Blade Show is Friday May 31st>Sunday June 2nd this year.

i got nothin... just started on the JS submission knives they are forged ground and have the HT done and i am going to start hand sanding monday. i have already decided that this year at blade will be a loss on the business side of things, but thats ok i want to attain the journeyman. Do i need it? short answer nope. Do i want it? Yep just like my Eagle scout rank when i was a kid it means something to ME! so it might cost me 4 or 5 thousand in sales but i feel its a small price to pay

I'll get some stuff up soon, Kevin. Working on #4 of the 5 JS knives right now, a big SW bowie with filework. Hoping to take them to Jerry Fisk's shop visit this weekend for review from the masters.

I finished this today.
This is my Little Bill slipjoint model.
The hollow ground,2 5/16" x 3/32" blade is Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel @ 59 Rc with a 400 grit hand rubbed finish. It pivots on my shop made 3/16" bushing and has a 1/2 stop. The knife is 3 1/2" long, closed and weighs a whopping 1.8 oz.
The integral bolster/liners are 416 stainless steel as are the Handel pins. The scales are amber stag jigged bone.
Y'all come and see it at table 5-M,in The Guild section.

I shall be introducing this "Knife Related Product" with Julie.
We shall have the books at Van Barnett and Dellana's TABLE 1F...

Hope to see many of you there!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Calvin,
That is a beautiful slipjoint. You just made me think of my grandfather. I'm gonna need to stop by your table and see that in person. Thanks for sharing!

I sure do wish I could be there to hang with you this year, David.
Blade is pretty much the worst time of year for me to have any time at all to get away.

And....alas, Lorien, there is a quandry....for Blade is THE Knife Show....there is nothing close....I have heard Little Rock is very good, the California Custom back in the day was exceptional, but if you plan on making knives a lifelong passion, you should get your scrawny frame to ATL sooner rather than later....and see it.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson
