BLADE SHOW ’2015' ~ Show Us What You Got!

Bigun... 4.5" blade.

QUOTE]

That Damascus pattern is really cool. Messes with the mind a little bit. That took some creative thinking.
Either that, or you need to lay off the sauce while grinding grooves for the ladder pattern:D

This is the first knife I have finished for the show. It is a Pocket Fighter in CPM 154. This is only the third knife I have hand sanded the finish on.

Jerry forged this special Sendero for a give-away at the CKCA Banquet the night before Blade Show.
It has a 4 1/4" blade forged from 5160 round bar then water quenched it. It has a burl Afrazilia handle, stainless guard and Jerry's deep relief engraving.

Should have these raw materials turned into knives by then...if the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise. Should have a small damascus and stag bowie, of course the camp/utility knife, and something special with the damascus fighter blade...and whatever else I can squeeze in.

That damascus looks great. Twisted in the forge?

Ben, as difficult as it is to say - I just pretty much give up on that. The character I get when I do it that way is just off the chart. I've seen nothing like it anywhere.
But it's just too damn hard to succeed and the waste of steel can be significant.
Plus I burn the s*it out of myself every time and it's just plain dangerous.
I've changed gears here and am happy with it.
Here's the steel right after I twisted it.
It's an 8" blade and I have 14 full twists.

sure wish the show wasn't during my busy season. I'll see you's there one day, though.

Per Jerry:
This one is headed to the Blade show. Sambar Stag, Dog Star pattern Damascus, deep relief scroll work on the stainless guard. The blade is approx. 5 inches long.
The Sendero makes a companion knife for whatever you do out in the field or just stay home and look at it. It works for either.
