I've got it set for 12 now.
I'll call and comfirm tomorrow.

HI Cantinistas,

I will miss Blade this year due to my move from California to Washington recently. Those of you who attend please post pics for those of us who couldn't.

Thanks,

Washington state. Don't know all the politics here yet, but I do know they allow hardware the Commifornians want to ban and confiscate and tax.

I will plan on Blade next year. It's the greastest knife show I know of.

O.K.,

Confirmed dinner reservations at
Olde Mill Steakhouse, Saturday the 17th for 12 people at 7:00.

Counting down the days!!

The last three days I've hardly slept a wink in anticipation of the show/gathering.
I'm afraid when it finally gets here I'll just crash and sleep walk through it.

As you can tell I'm just a little bit excited. My blood pressure must be through the roof. LOL

Anyone else that wants to get on the cell phone list should email bambo shappa or me then we can share the list.

Just two knives left to go for me. :D

And then a bunch-o-sharpening...:D

Soon enough we'll be there!

Looking forward to seeing you all. And the knives too of course!

just got back from dinner with a great bunch of guys!

Already looking forward to next year! :D :p

Was there for four hours. Toward the end my knee was giving out and had to miss dinner. :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: only supposed to be up on it (seven weeks since surgery :( :( ) for an hour, two at the most. But it was fun meeting people and seeing some incredble blades.

Had to get home to the ice pack and the T.E.N.S. Machine. Swelling has gone down now.

Bamboo got a knife that is magnificent! Even Anne loved it and she does not often get excited about recent blades. I hope that Bamboo can post some pictures when he returns.

We had our two dogs, Chumley and Tucker, they were petted by about everyone. They want to go back again today also.

Well my first Blade Show was just an awesome time. It was great meeting a few of the regulars here. Great bunch of guys. So many knives in one place was overload for sure. Halfway through the room I had a splitting headache from trying to focus on so many wonders. I was prepared and got some excedrin from the truck then right back at it. I was there from 12:00 to 6:00 and 'saw' every booth. At some I spent more time than others due to styles etc.

I bought a bunch of handle materials, and came out of there with three new knives. One was a Fallkniven F1 from a recent group buy. Whomever it was who first recommended Fallkniven was right, awesome knife. The next was a custom with a backswept blade and sheep horn handles. What a deal at 60 dollars. Aziz got one by the same maker. I later showed it to another maker who said there was 60 dollars worth of materials in the knife. Its a beauty with a fine hollow ground blade. My third was a Dan Koster Khukish knife. And it was one of the first I hefted at the show. It's like the WSK, but without all the bells and wistles. Its awesome. Many pics of the knives to follow tomorrow. As far as pics of the show..... my dumb ass forgot my camera. Doh.

After the show was dinnner, and I had a great time. There is nothing quite like meeting you guys in person. Thanks for the welcome. I had a great time. Got home at 10:45 after the drive. Fun Fun Fun.:p

This thread is useless without pics.

Said with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer thrown across the room, but it needed to be said regardless.
