Blade Show 2005

Ladies & Gents,

I need a good count of those willing to go to Fogo's. I guess there was a problem last year with the hogs(Busse crowd). At first many people said they would go, then a lot of people dropped out and an entire reserved table was left empty - which the restaurant didn't like at all.

So, I have to call the restaurant with a good count. I thought we had about a dozen.

we are going where the group goes, so if its still fogo then thats two of us and whoever rides in my car goes where we go.

Dan, for a dozen people you're going to want reservations. I'd hate to decide on a place only to have to wait an hour+ to be seated. I haven't seen anyone protest fogo's...

Tom and Jess, Two for Fogo's.

I'd like to meet and thank Jerry for the knives he's donating to the "Uncle and Rusty family fund". They will probably be coming in as we are finishing up.
We're still on for a 7:30 ish dinner?

We can always head back to the Pit afterward. The people at the pit are a little bit more used to our type of knife waving bunch I'm sure.

Again Thanks out to Hdwrlover for taking care of the reservations!!!

Hi guys,

considering the timeline.
The show ends at 7:00...I'm not sure how long it takes to close/cover the table...estimating 15 to cover and get out the door...15 min drive...7:30...7:45 eta fogo's if everything goes right correct?

just want to make sure everyone is on the same page.

Fogo sounds good to me, if their portions are as big as you all are saying I'll probably just get an appetizer. I'll find out how many in my group will be there Friday and want to go, should have that list by Thursday or so. Time sounds good to me as well.

I may have misunderstood- I think Fogo works on a system where they keep bringing you food as long as you keep eating it

Ok gang, this is what I see from your responses so far:

Bamboo - 1
Azis - 2
Shappa - 2
Dan Koster - 1?
Spectre - 1
Roadrunner - 1+
hdwrlover - 1

That makes 9+. So if I reserve for 12 and it is a few more or less we should be good. Keep me informed. If the show ends at 7 pm, I"ll shoot for 8 pm, and let you all know what Fogo's says. They may not have room at 8 pm. However, the Busse group looks smaller than originally stated, so there might be room at 8:30 or 9 though I know many don't want to eat that late.

OK Sharks, it's a done deal. Reservations have been made for 12 at Fogo's on Friday, June 3rd, at 8 pm. That is a little late but the show closes at 7 pm and that gives a little time to wash up and gather as a group to head over.

Then we get to eat everything up before the Hogs get there at 9 pm.:D

So it would not be out of the question to eat a small lunch in the early afternoon so that you don't swim belly up while trolling the aisles.

Fantastic!! and a big thank you for running with this for us.

I'm not sure which I'm more excited about...seeing all those knives or meeting up with old/new friends. :D

One thing we can do is since Dans' table is the meetup place, if we give him our cell numbers and names (through email) as well as where we are staying and if we have cars and can offer rides, maybe he could hand them out as people get there.

If Dan wouldn't mind he could have copies of the list of those who email them in to him at his table?

that's fine with me....go ahead and shoot me an email with your number.

Ah. Have 1.5 lbs of beef jerky, 9 liters of water, 3 lbs of trail mix, assorted shelf-stable Indian food, a gallon of OJ, a bottle of wine, and 375 ml of peach schnapps. I just hope I don't forget anything. :footinmou
