Blade Show 2007 Images

Bill,

Your lovely amber stag hunter at the bottom of the picture, was severely tempting me. I was broke and needed to get away from your table quickly.
Look forward to seeing you next year.

What a great show!!! Unfortunately, I only got to talk and hang out with about 1/5 of the people that I wanted to because I had a short weekend and left early in the afternoon on Saturday. along with all of the old hands i had already met and some I hadn't, I got to meet Nick Wheeler and Matt Roberts. Those two did some stunning work. They were both stressed out and Matt made it worse on himslef by not only having to make those great knives, but trying to dress like he was going to court the whole weekend:D I think some of us may have tweaked his anxiety just a tad on Thursday night, but he rallied for the judging:thumbup: :D I got some great feedback and encougaement form a number of guys on the couple of knives that I brought with me. I got to spend a goodly amount of time with Jerry Fisk. He and J.R. Cook are teaching a class during the week between his mini-show and the fall hammer-in which i MUST sign up for. I am hard pressed to spike out two weeks for the intro course, but this will do nicely. Hopefully I can whip this guard and handle fit and finish bugaboo with some help from two really amazing smiths:D I also got to meet and chat with Kevin Cashen. He had a couple of amazing swords, and, of course, some of his microscope pics....talk about an amazingly overeducated guy!!! lol. All in all, I had a great time, but I wish I could have stayed the whole time.

Thank you. I will be there next year. Just to tease you a little I still have it.

Peter, can I please get you to do me favor? Could you post the photo of the Vince Evans knives here in this thread? FotoTime won't let me save it to my computer, and I would really like to have a photo of that top knife for future reference.

Keith,

No problemo.
