Blade Show 2010 • From the Studio

Yes, Doug makes super clean knives.
He manages a huge ranch in Montana.

Like a new hit record, this one will be heard often....
(Corrected the knife image. Kevin Jones posted this on his own thread)

Speaking of Mastersmith quality....

Thanks again this year, Coop. The next best thing to being there. That green ivory Hanson is the standout for me so far. Don't think I've ever seen anything like that before.

I'm not sure what it is about them but Alain Desaulniers's knives always strike my fancy. So much so that I actually own one. :D I'm usually ambivalent on engraving a Loveless-style knife but the set of three works very well for me.

Thanks for this "tour", Coop. It makes the sting of not being able to attend a little less painful.

A regal set from a respected Mastersmith--with the 'Arkansas Living Treasure' stamps. Truly stunning!

Deadly elegant.

Mark blows us all away with a zebra-themed set of kudu horn and walrus ivory handles.

Over the top ceremonial Rhino dagger. Mark asked me if the provided sash would work in this shot. I said, let's give it a go. Five minutes of fussing and we knew we had a winner. Way to go Mark!

Back to a traditional bowie/fighter. Dave is taking long strides these days.

'Best New Maker' for 2010. Not surprising!

Clean and tidy. A fine package from Joe.

And a final two on the extreme ends of the spectrum, yet both represent what a spectacular world we are involoved in.

Beverly and Billy Imel were VERY proud of this one as it's been decades since he attempted something so bold.

They also provided and enquired about bringing a purple silk fabric as a backdrop. Sure, I'd like to try it! WOW!

Lastly for today: Jeremy Marsh makes one knife for an auction in the Pit on Friday eve. Here's his 2010 entry. Simply incredible. Just ask Big Mike T., the owner. :D

Still many more to come... :)

Great photos Coop! This is just so awesome.:)

great photos as usual Coop. many knives there I did not see at the tables. probably with you for photos or sold. couple I might have wanted to grapple.

Some really great knives, but for me that Imel dagger is the icing on the cake in this bunch. Brings back memories of the eighties and nineties, with amazing daggers from Warenski, Rigney and Imel himself:thumbup::thumbup:

This one appealed to me. One look and you'll understand. ;)

Scot loves these deep hollow grinds, and he's good at them.

Mardi always gives you pause, and I LOVE his natural artifact bone handle.

David has a recognizable style. A pleasure.

Incredible pics (as always!) of some incredible knives:thumbup::thumbup: - that Booth is one of the coolest things I've ever seen!

That Fisk piece is one of my favourites from the show. And Shawn really nailed that little honey of a damascus hunter.
