Congrats to CRK. Would someone mind explaining to me what the award means? Is it that CRK has the best factory for producing knives? It may be a silly question but it could mean several things. What specifically is it?
Quick question:
Is this the only time CRK has ever designed a knife (or, radically evolved a knife - namely the Sebenza 25) that hasn't won an award? I know all knives evolve, but as far as I can tell the Sebenza has never won an award from Blade.(http://www.chrisreeve.com/pressawards.htm) Was the 25 not eligible since it wasn't a totally new knife? Can the "Overall" award be given to an existing knife?
BTW, let me be clear! I'm not trying to sound like a fan-boy, even though I am. The winner deserved it I'm sure- whoever it was. I'm just curious as to the eligibility of the 25.
We all knew they would get it, and it's the best award of all of the Blade awards.
Unless a new high end knife company comes along(which I doubt), I don't ever see CRK not getting this award.
The only one remotely close in regard's to excellence in manufacturing is William Henry.
