Blade Show 2014 Pics Thread

Here is the 711 with the new and I believe "Blade Only" Bronze coating it also has Garth's tribal tattoo on the flip side.

Sorry for any confusion about posting those hawks in the busse forum, It was just the only picture I had taken and I know people were wanting to see pics of the SoBs
 
Awesome, I thought it was RMJ but the holes in the handle and head shape looked like the old crash rat a little bit. Could you pm or email some more pics and specs on it. Like thickness compared to shrike would be awesome. I have an order in for a loggerhead but I like the looks and size of that. The shrike is awesome for most things but the spike is just not needed for what i use one for. Of course my gerber/fiskars works awesome and I have taken cars apart with it. Ryan did some estwing axes with the sharpened under the head deal. I wish he had done some gerbers. But alas a knife junkie wants premium. Do you know if it is forged and the same steel as the shrike?
 
I got some more pics up in the axe hatchet tomahawk forums ill take a width comparison with the shrike for you and post it there. I don't have the tools to do a great review though.
 
I am a little dissapointed to see that my fellow Norwegian Lennox was in the second row at the through.....
Thought he would trample his way through like the old Norsemen did when they went out in viking.....

Don't you worry Bobber he still made out like a Hog. Wait til he comes along posting his scores. I'm especially find of his SOB he got that first offering.

Len was wearing his special trough stomping boots...he did well :thumbup:
When I last spoke with him, he was concerned the airline was not prepared to transport that much INFI...........he was looking into other arrangements.

It was great to meet everyone and finally put faces to names. I had a blast at the show, definitely a bucket list do that never knew I had. Here are some pictures of some of my scores.

Good to hear Len did ok, Ive gotten a couple of pics of his scores, me thinks he did well...
Can not wait till he comes back, I sure have a nice score to show him too.
My Custom Shop NMFBM arrived Friday at customs, Satin abd Black canvas micarta.
Bummer is I can't pick it up before wednesday....
I think I have the INFI-shivers now....
 
Heres a better pic of the bronze. The MOAB is measuring 5/16ths thick. I think these were considered skinny MOABs? Correct me if I'm wrong.
I think I only remember seeing 5 tags thrown for these Bronze coated MOABS. I don't think the shop is going to do more bronze in the future.

Here is my haul.

Swamp Rat R3. Not sure if it is thicker stock or not but does seem to be a little chubby. Got to use my 3rd place shop credit in the longest ash contest to help on this one.


CF SOB. Made a sheath for it and the one my son got. Love the heft of this knife.


Took along my Zombie rig to get Jerry to sign the sheath.


Had to pick up a Spyderco. This is one I have had before and wished that I never let get away.


Wasn't real sure about an OTF but with TN just changing the law on carry I had too. I have been collecting knives all my life and this was my first OTF. I guess it doesn't hurt that it is a 1 of 200 20th Anni. model.


VZ grips had a great special on grips so with making sure that Busse didn't have any hiding away I grabbed these.


Also bought a green laser pointer as my son got him one and I knew he would be mad if I hogged his.
I will let him post pics of his stuff. At 16 YO he really done well.
 
Great scores all... You've got me drooling. Great to see that Lennox did so good. Saw the pic of his catch from the first day. Also Noticed his hat, second row, in Joe's first picture......
