Blade Show 2024

Another great year in the books. Thx to everyone that made it possible. Was great reconnecting as well as meeting some of you in the flesh finally. Mark, Jo, Big Richard,,, thank you, seriously. These last 3 years have been so awesome. Reached the summit with this pig sword (thx Marc) so thinking its time to give everyone else a chance next year so Ill likely sit out and focus on the fam I struggled being away from this weekend. Will post some more pics from the weekend in a bit.

Probably worth mentioning here - I am giving up my table for next year and will be attending as a regular grunt. Maybe around April I will do a Blade Show preorder and deliver at the show. I'm also going to plan a big post show sheath drop. I want more time to socialize and enjoy the festivities and I still have not been able to catch the cutting competition.

I didn't get over to see the CPK crew & table until the early afternoon Friday so very little was left but I managed to score an awesome Bushcraft knife in AEBL from Trevor at Peter's, a couple of show exclusive OTF's from Guardian Tactical, the same green show special OTF it seems everyone got from Kershaw and I snagged Serial number 02 of ProTech's new Sinkovich Oligarch as I was walking out the door Saturday night.

Congrats on snagging that Oligarch, I’ve been scouring the net trying to find a stainless handled version without Damascus for sale. Super cool knife.

Thanks, it's a great piece and exactly what I got (magnacut blade), I hope you can get one. I am pretty sure it was Knife Center who got serial #01, they were taking pictures of it when I was buying mine. Not sure if it posted on their site yet.

These caught my eye, pretty sure the lady making them is a MS. The feminine flair particularly on the biggen was done very well. Living w/ 3 females sure has changed how I look at things 😝






^Kinda regret not picking one of these up. As you can imagine Its easy to make impulse purchases at Blade Show. Example these gdamn westinghouse ashtrays. These would get NTMs attention likely before some wildly adorned bowie by a MS. I mean he was locked in on this $100 ashtray I bought for what seemed like a few mins. The mind of a maker, very interesting Indeed.

Picked up the tiny tall guy so I could smoke cigars easier on the clock.

Proof I think of the wife while away at a knife show. Asked if any caught her eye and she said it looked like something her gma would wear. Im like Bertie R is the man and makes $25,000+ knives of which she replys yea he should stick with that. Married a savage 🥰

Since the reaper is too small for me, this is my best approximation ...

Just two random angles of the massive show for perspective but really they do it no justice. Ya gotta go to Blade Show to truly appreciate it. This year I was a bit better then normal in regards to really taking in the whole show. Still always leave the show with some regret as its so action packed in such a short amount of time. Myself I struggle with focusing,,,my brain is on a 3 day high. Now that Im home I feel like a completely different dude. You might not be a people person, you might only find interest in CPK I get it but you are doing yourself a huge disservice by not venturing the floor and really looking and engaging with all these cool unique but overall very like minded people brought together mostly by sharp stuff. Ya seldom notice any of these people in every day life but I know just like me whenever you just see a knife clipped to the pocket most times your like “hell yea”. Imagine all them people under one massive roof. Cool.

I was barely done typing that yesterday when my buddy texted me a link to where he had found one. Credit card was smoking with how quickly I jumped on that purchase. Hardened 17-4 stainless and magnavut with a Protech action, that’ll have to do until Nathan makes a side opening automatic.
