Well, Kay and I will have to miss this one. Her grandmother passed away and the funeral is this weekend. We will sure miss seeing everyone.

So sorry to hear this! Give Kay our condolences. If you need anything, holler.

Sorry to hear of your loss Trade, send my condolences to the wife.
Hope to see you next year then....

Ethan, I see you are in here lurking.
I`m bringing you a little something from Norway as a thank you for the awesome prizes you sent to our gathering.....
Really looking forward to meeting you in person bossman..

Sorry to hear that Trade...family before all..we'll be thinking about y'all.

The thoughts are much appreciated guys. Yeah Tank, I could use some coconut shrimp from Papadeaux's. :D

We're fine on this end, carry on men.

I don't think I've ever eaten there but always hear about it. Might have to remedy that this year.

Well, the folks who kindly offered us lodging had a death in the family and will be leaving for Arkansas Friday morning. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel? Distance is not a factor since we're driving.
My funds will be smaller so I'm going to have to be savvy and budget conscious at the show unfortunately. Also I will not need the extra ticket that TMHunt will be holding so if anyone needs it, its up for grabs. Please contact him for more info...

Sorry for your loss Trade.

I already said this in Ethan's BLADE thread, but I figured I'd say it again here. If you see the Palmetto Blades booth, ask them to see the meteorite knife with Stonewall Jackson prayer tree and Civil War messenger bag handles. Cool piece of history in knife form.

Sounds interesting Dawson...I had already noted it from your other thread and look forward to checking it out. I'll report back for ya!

It really is something to see. Might not be at BLADE now though. He says "sold" on the recent FB post about it. Here's the pic though.

Description from the FB post: "Still our most historic knife to date at Palmetto Blades. The knife is a Nessmuk design and the Damascus blade was canister forged from shavings the Gibeon Meteorite out of Namibia, Africa. The handles are from the Stonewall Jackson Prayer Tree and the bolsters are from a Wooly Mammoth Tusk. The leather spacer is from a courier bag repair job that was carried in the Civil War. It will be up for sale at the Blade Show this weekend. Let us know if you're interested.

Just in time Bladites 6 passes showed up in the mail today, NCslice, sorry about your situation.

I have half of them spoken for, first come first serve on the other 3.

Thanks again Bladite

Thanks man, hope some heads can make use of those passes.
Gah, $300 for hotel, hurts my feelings :( I'll be lucky to come home with one of Moose's Chinese folders...

Snark :D

Ill be there. My table is 11AA. I will be the tall extremely handsome fellow cracking the whip on Murph and 1066vik to sell my stuff....... Gonna need gas money to get home! :D

If it helps save gas, I'll take some of the weight off your hands and bring the blades back to IN. Always looking to help a fellow Hoosier.... :)

You gonna have one of those heart daggers? Or am I gonna have to get Ethan's from him?

Well, no, but there was almost one. But its a kris blade I've been working on for months, it just wasnt in the cards to finish I guess. As far as Ethans, I was just at his house a couple of weeks ago. Its still nestled lovingly on his display shelf in his living room. I hope it stays there for a while. As far as the rest of my blades, you can haul of them all home if I can bring you check book home! :D
