Blade show headcount.

Well, no, but there was almost one. But its a kris blade I've been working on for months, it just wasnt in the cards to finish I guess. As far as Ethans, I was just at his house a couple of weeks ago. Its still nestled lovingly on his display shelf in his living room. I hope it stays there for a while. Not an official Beckerhead, but I'll be going to the Show Friday or Saturday. I live in Gwinnett County, so it is less than an hour away.
It will be my first time at the Blade Show, so I need to make a list of the dealers/makers I want to visit while I'm there. I know want to visit TMHunt's table, even if I don't have the $$ for one of his knives! I've got a job interview tomorrow, so maybe that will change!

Hopefully I will get to meet a few Beckerheads and other BF members while I'm there.

you might be surprised - there are a couple dozen blades on the table under $150 -- some of them well under.
you might also check out Jim Bensinger at table 8DD -- he hangs out here and has attended a couple of the NE gatherings and has some very reasonable necker/EDC sized blades.

I was planning to drive down but things came up. Not unexpectedly though which is why I didn't make flight and hotel reservations. Maybe next year. :(

I was mixed up on the wedding dates, the wedding is a week from now and will be in MD. No jobs today, so I am free to make the run to Atlanta.

I was lucky enough to meet Bobber at the KA-BAR booth (nice to meet you! :) ), then stepped back while he and Ethan spent some time chatting... it's pretty dang cool that folks like him made the journey from so far away and actually had a chance to talk with Uncle E :thumbup:
 
I had a blast at Blade, it was awesome meeting all of you guys too, I overspent by WAY to much money, but I will just have to call back home and get my funds refueled somehow.

The Beckerheads are just so good people to talk to, i loved it.
Trying my hardest to get back here next year too, or the best part would be to get to a gathering but we`ll see.
That will take some serious buttering of my wife, so better get to it as soon as I get home, LOL....
I`ve had a blast, and today we`re heading up to Charlotte to visit Knifehunter, and from there we`ll head over to Ethans place Wednesday to Thursday before we go back home to Norway.
Ethan is just so cool, looking forward to seeing him again and seeing his plce...

Wow. Bema and Bobber, you made a supreme effort and I hope the Blade Show was all that you hoped it would be.

I was hanging around during some of Ethan's interviews. The booth was so busy, that I barely even looked at knives there. I sort of see them at the knife store a lot and always stop in the Kabar area to shop and look.

Hope all the Kabar representatives had a good time. I know you all had a couple very busy days there.
 
you will love Ethan's place - especially the view from the treehouse.
was good meeting you - and if all those busse & bussekin weight your luggage down too much, I'd be willing to store them for you until next year. :D

Or atleast help me abuse beat on them like a rented mule.....
I just can`t wait to see Ethans place, and Sloans.....
You guys from the Becker-crowd are just awesome. Too bad we did`nt get even more time together...
 
alas - at the moment I'm 900 miles away (1500km?) or I would take you up on that -- and let you play with my new TM Hunt M-18.
