I'm not sure about posting this here. I thought about General but decided on GBU since I'm asking for feedback.

I would like to attend the Blade Show this year but I may only be able to attend on Sunday. I have been to knife and gun shows in the past where the exhibitors start packing their stuff at noon on Sunday and half the show is gone before I have a chance to look at it. I don't want to drive to Atlanta only to see rows of empty tables.

Does Blade make the exhibitors stay until the show closes, or do they start bailing out early Sunday morning? Feedback on whether the Sunday session is worth making the effort to attend would be appreciated.

You can get some good deals on whatever is left on a Sunday but by then all the real great bargains or real popular stuff is gone. Some of the relatively unknown makers may still have some bargains left and may be more open to negotiating a little on price. I personally wouldn't drive more than a couple of hours distance to attend on a Sunday. If you do go on Sunday make sure you are there at the open because by noon lots of folks are packing up or gone, at least the couple of times I have attended in the past. It has been a few years since I last went though so maybe things have changed.

If you are going to be there when the show opens on Sunday, then it's probably going to be worth it. The problem is not so much people packing up and leaving or being sold out as it is the fact that the show is so big in scope, you will just not have the time to see most of it. If your arrival will be 10:00 or after I believe it would be a good idea to just save the gas and time.

If this is your first time, I would strongly advise skipping this year and making firm plans for all three days next year saving what you can between now and then. I try to save Sunday for taking time to see friends I missed the first few days.

(Just my thought from attending since late 80's).

This is total b.s.

Gus just tries to hit on all the girls on Sunday and doesn't want any competition. Don't let that mild manner fool you. They don't call him the "goat" moderator for nothing. :p

(P.S.: You really should pay attention to his advice...though, as mentioned, some bargains are to be found.)

LOL :D.

I take goats to blade, just to distract others. :D

What about just Saturday and early Sunday? I'm not certain I could swing being off on a Friday for several years to come.

Saturday is good.
Most years I only make Saturday,I run out of money in one day anyway.
My son and I will be leaving about 5 am Saturday morning,be at the show all day, attend the Busse Combat induction dinner and get back home around 4 am Sunday.
