Blade show/ Peck award + Wheeler

Congrats Nick and Bill! I missed out on meeting you. Dagblastit. Next year though.

Thanks everyone.

Nick your very welcome, it was really good to meet you and I really enjoyed our visit. It did make a nervous time pass by much easier, sweating it out with you and Matt and then to have J. show up for support, well it couldn't have gotten any better then that.
I will say though, I throught you was going to passout when I came out and told you I failed, the expression on your face was priceless. :D

Now get to work.

Bill

Congrats again Nick -- it was great to meet you in person.

How did I miss your at the show Bill?

Nick, I didn't know about you getting the Peck Award. Congratulations on that and had no doubt about you getting your JS.

Just to clear things up I won NO awards at the Blade Show. Kerry did see the two awards I got at the OKCA Show on my table.

Oooops:o Sorry about the confusion but good wins nonetheless.

Bill

I knew you were fibbin' buddy!!!

Congrats to Nick on the stamp and the award, fantastic and very well deserved!!! I've been drooling over Nick's knives for years. Congrats also to my bud Mr. Buxton whom I was so thrilled to finally meet after all this time and who's work I truly love. Matt Shade(Longrifle to many), Pete Crowl and everyone else. Also, to our new Mastersmiths such as Don Hanson and John White and others. You guys rock!!! OK, I'll stop now, I promise........ can you tell I'm thrilled for you guys?!?

Congrats to you all!!!!

Thanks Bill! and thanks everyone else too. :D

Bill, all 5 of your submitted knives were extremely well made and good looking. Not one of them that didn't just melt in your hand.

What an experience! I'm WHIPED out. Sooooo freaking tired from all the work getting ready and then only a few hours sleep each night at the show.

I can't believe I have to go back to work tomorrow! :(

This was one of the most stressful things I've ever gone through. At least Bill, Matt Roberts, and I got to stand outside the judging room and lean on each other rather than just sweat it alone.

I was one of the last ones called back in and I was really starting to get riled up!

One of the very coolest things about the show was FINALLY getting to shake hands with so many friends I've made on here. It's a bit surreal to talk to somebody for 4 or 5 years online and then just all of a sudden you're standing there shaking their hand! :D

I hope that happens with more of my friends from here.

Oh, and one of my other big highlights was finally to quit kicking Rob Frink's tires and order a fully loaded KMG. Rob has been so patient with me threatening to buy one for years... I knew while working on my Js knives that I need another grinder even more than I needed some of the other tools I've bought recently. I can't wait Rob! :D

Thanks again Bill :)
Congrats again, Nick. I was great getting to talk with you nad Matt. As for Mr. Frink, i have been trying the old Jedi mind trick on him in a couple of areas. I tried to put the idea in his mind to build a less expensive integral grinder using the Little Sharpie machine that he used to make for Koval.
I am now going to lay the groundwork for asking him about building a "plug and play" AC variable speed box with a standard 3 prong recepticle so i can switch back and forth between my KMG and a disc grinder:D Or maybe a platen that will take a 1/2 or 3/4 inch small wheel at the top to use as a vertical integral grinder.

Is it just me or does Nick look like Matt Damon......A better looking Matt Damon...but still like Matt Damon.

Congrats on the Award.
