three words come to mind when I saw those pic'S of all the new bali's coming out this year....awesome,awesome,and AWESOME.
Thanks for posting pic,for all the people who couldn't make it to the show this weekend....peace

It'll be interesting to see how well MT does balisongs. I'll probably have to get half the stuff shown in the pictures. Just more to add to the trillion dollar "I want it, I want it, I want it!!!" list. Sigh...

I really appreciate the pics. Thank You. I am surprised that the microtech neck knife is so different from the protos.

Well.....I was interested in the MT butterfly knife until I saw which handle has the Latch! Don't care for spinning those style, I hope they offer it either way?

Oh well, save my pennies for something else...

I also want to thank you for the pictures. Take a look at the guy holding the Microtech Balisong, would you buy a knife from him?

I'm glad to see Mike is still around.
I must admit I'm disappointed that there haven't been any pink tutu sightings yet.

Gary,

No, you can still save your pennies for the Tachyon, it was designed to be a Manila Latch OR a Batangas Latch OR a Latchless, if you look, the other handle has a hole where that screw goes for switching it over...

It is pictured as a Manila Latch, that does not mean it is. It can be what you want. Something alot of people have wanted as an option for a long time.

Thanks Jason, I am really drooling over those CRKT designs as well as the Microtechs. Great pics, keep em coming!

I have to tell you I'm really not into balis and I told Mike Turber that when I saw him last night and he said, "Well look at this anyway." Well, I looked and there's no doubt about it this knife looks and feels great. Compared to most that I've seen this is a real quality knife.

The MT neck knife saga was kinda strange. The pic I posted on page one had an early proto knife with the new sheath . . . the pic above has the actual knife with a non-production leather sheath. (That is phil from 2thehilt . . . great guy!) It seems that the skeletonizing has changed to this model but the sheath is a plastic variation that WILL NOT release the knife with a straight down pull! Kinda weird. You have to put pressure on the back of the sheath with your thumb to separate the sheath and pull with a rotation to get it to release. I am sure this provides a great deal of security and would prevent someone being able to pull it from someone's neck (like a LEO) and use it against him. Very different though! Sweet knife!
