Hopefully some of the folks that are at Blade will be able to give us a daily update. It would be great to get a daily fix.

I don't know what to say! So many knives! I brought my camera but hardly snapped any shots due to bad luck the images I tried to get. This has been a good show and my feet are killing me. (Someone who is better at this should take over and give some details). Frpm what I could tell, our buddys were selling out pretty fast.

saw some tables already sold out. I left at 4 today and several sellers had low inventory. Lots of knife making supplies. Lots of skins. Couldn't see everything-needed about 4 hours to walk it all. Can't wait to go back in the morning. If I could change anything it wold be to bring about 10k for a start.

I got in with an exhibitors badge, around 9, Thank You Don Hanson!!!!!!
Many of the tables already had sold, sold, sold, sold, sold, sold, even Don's table before the doors open only had one or two knives available, a real beauty of a folder, just a tad more cash than I budgeted.:o But, a LOT of new makers, at least to me were there and they had plenty. The NAMES had very few. I think the Bose lottery had over a thousand names in the stacks, 20 knives by Reese and Tony. Our own Knifehead won one as did Bastid and Blades&Grace, He flipped his before even paying for it and made another 400.

PS: He asked Reese First if he minded, Reese said, get what you can for it.

I only took three pictures because they looked terrible. Here they are though. I snagged up that orange fighter on the right.

Don with that "get it over with" look.

A Josh Smith folder. I added some color to try to give an idea of what it looks like.. but its a very poor photo. He had a few others that were really nice and that I liked even better, but this one is great.

That's what it is. The state wide gathering of blacksmiths in Missouri and surrounding areas. It's becoming quite large.

I second the Journeyman and Master Smith test list.

Congratulations to Russ Andrews and Bill Burk for receiving their MS stamps, and to Karl Andersen for receiving his JS. Outstanding fellows.

Precisely what I observed ...

I hit Dan Winkler's table at 12:00:15 (ran like a kid) and finally, finally got that Lost Creek Camp Knife I've admired for 2 years. By 12:19, Mr. Winkler was sold out. I did manage to get a good spot on his customs list, however!

Similar shenanigans with the other Names, as Mr. Todd has already pointed out.

J. Neilson won his Master's Stamp!! Good on you, J.

Shawn McIntyre is a very happy camper. Not only did he get his MS, he also picked up the Huges award. Congradulations to all the other makers, hope to see some pics in the next few days.

I think Jason Knight won the Moran award with a Southwestern Bowie and he also won best bowie with the same knife.
