I usually set my sights on a particular maker and this year I was fortunate enough to get a blade from Sam Lurquin

I wanted a Hurak and that's what I got

Black micarta handle and the blade is made of Maragin steel ( tank steel )

This knife came with a great leather cross draw sheath

I will get better Photos but for now

Bonjour ou bonsoir ou bonne nuit, happy to see you, welcome in the Hurak's family

Thanks for the great pics and the news, Joe.
Congrats on your shiny new Hurak...KILLER !

Nice shots, bro! Been digging the hell out of Mr. Lurquin's work lately, too - congrats on scoring one.

Punch Knight in the shoulder really hard for me and tell him I said hi. Obviously, if it were me, the punch wouldn't be really hard, and I'd run away after, but he'll get the idea...

I like this photo, it reminds me a lot of things...

Knives it is men's history.....

Sam in worked a lot for Atlanta, he did not go out of his cave a lot, he misses sun....

Or to finish, Hey you does not approach no knife if near my throat...

:p

nice shots Joe, iphone and all. Say hi to J for me if you don't mind.
Diskin's folder is very very nice. Pretty sure I want one.

Thanks for posting these Joe, have fun today!

A little gift for those who are not there, this Huark there has of to make the happiness of somebody...

Thanks for the show report Joe, wish I could have hung around longer.

I was VERY Impressed with the above piece, Matt's really got it going on!

Very cool, Joe! Love the Hurak. You always land knives that I would love to have.

Killin' me that I'm not there with y'all. Work priorities. Toughest part is I was flying out of Atlanta on Thursday morning while others were arriving.

Enjoy the annual bruhaha!!!

Joe, thanks for putting this thread up in the middle of all the excitement...really, REALLY wishing we were there to congratulate all our friends who won awards, that's a great group of guys! We'd love to see a pic of Mike's sword and J's bowie, somebody please?

Is there a list of the new JS and MS out yet? It's killing us to miss the show this year but we just didn't get our shop built in time. We kept our table so we'll see you all next year.

Oh, and tell Sam to stop by Alaska on his way home :)

Hi Berno I'm at pinnocr@hotmail.com

Had a great time with Sam and Fred (I think that was his name) and got to meet Gustav as well. What a talented sheathmaker he is.

I head that the collaboration piece Sam did with Adam fetched a very good price at auction. Good stuff.

Roger

Indeed, it is Frédéric, how you found his fighter if you saw it ??

I look forward to being in the next year to live that too....
