Just got in from Portland.
SMKW had some Bucks knives but i think they could of represented Buck much better. I hope Buck decides to participate next year and use Blade Show West to introduce the next years knives.
Picked up some goodies. Met with James Gedlicks for a bit. Got to hangout with Jason Knight from Forged in Fire, i signed up for one of his Knife making classes.
The guys at Tops were very cool and showed 500 knives. I picked up the Tops Operator knife i won when i pre purchased my tickets.
I was 3rd in line with my wife 2nd in fromt if me. Lee from Buck showed up in 4th. Lee is one of the Buck designers. Lee designed the Buck Sprint line, and the 110 and 112 slims.
I met a young guy who was lost for over a week in the woods. Once he got a little older he started making knives. The big bowie with the green handle is one of his.
Met Brian Tighe and picked up one of his Titanium one piece folders after some haggling. Also met Ed Schempp in the Spyderco Booth. Got a real cool S3V Dawson Knife. The steel has a great Copper patina.
Alot of fun and cant wait for next year.
