I got a little under-the-weather too, but not as bad as you guys are describing. I just chalked it up to the fact that I usually only see a few people for weeks at a time, and always seem to catch something when I'm in a big crowd.
The AC was awful - almost non-existent. I know you can only expect so much with high ceilings and that many people milling about, but good gravy it was muggy in there. Pretty warm and "close" in the backroom where I took Jerry Fisk's design class, too.
The class was absolutely worthwhile, by the way. I'll definitely sign up for more next year.
Other than that, I really enjoyed the show.
This was my first year at Blade, and it was a little smaller than what I was expecting. The only other major trade show I go to is SHOT and Blade is maybe 10% the size of SHOT.
If it moves to an even bigger venue, I may stop going. Instead of trying to hit all the aisles/tables, we mapped out a list of stuff we were really interested in to be more efficient, and we
still didn't get around to everyone on our list.
