Blade Show

I will be there in the ABS section somewhere. I think at my usuall table. Mike Williams and I are doing a seminar on Saturday about home cutting test. Everyone that could also ought to catch the seminar by Les, Bob and Jerry on trends. If it is not same time as ours I sure want to catch that one. Looking forward to meeting some of you.

Can't make it this year, I've only got enough vacation time & money for one big show. This will be my first year at the Guild show as probationary member. I've been to the Blade show for the past two years & have loved it. Hopefully things will pick up so I can be there next year. Yall have fun!!!!! Dwayne

Might be there,might not be.
I have an aunt thats getting hitched the weekend before, i believe. If i can afford the gas money ill be there.prolly no knife purchases, though.

This year I'm turning over a new leaf, no bad whiskey and cheap cigars. Single malt and"whatchmacallits",damn don't you hate it,right when you want to sound sophisticated you can't pronounce it.They didn't teach spanish in high school that many years ago. Table 2-0.Come by and holler at me. Me and Fisk are going to try to show you how to keep all your body parts while testing blades, and keep ours while doing it! The pit is well, the pit. It's like a professional/educational type forum, very resrained and classy. You can't miss it. See ya'll there. mike

I'll be arriving Thursday evening, and looking forward to meeting many purveyors I've done business with as well as the knife makers themselves.

What's the best transportation to the (Edit) Renaissance Hotel from the Airport? Taxi? and how far is it from the airport? Thanks.

Which Hotel Sniper?

Arport to Galeria comples is about 20 miles.
Most Motels will have a free or cheap shuttle.

Call the hotel and ask them which slot their shuttle will be in at the airport. The Waverly was $20 last year. Met some really cool collectors on the ride from the airport - we had lunch right after checking in. Sat with Jay and Karen from AZCK on the way back.

Damn! Even the shuttle bus rides are chock full of knife fun!

Gus,
Thanks for the hotel information. I was undecided if I was going to the show or not. I called the numbers you posted and made the reservations. Just the little push I needed to make a commitment I guess. I have a cnc flat grinder and I guess I will go see if I can find anyone else that needs some blades ground. I have never been to the Blade show before. Sounds like a great time.
