Blade steel for edc

I’m not exactly sure how DLC would help rust aesthetically but it very well could masking what is in reality going on.

Good info, thanks! Yeah, I'm not sure how it works either, but the exposed steel at the edge is A-OK, so I can't imagine the rest of the blade is doing much worse. Take into account that this is just some opinion and observations, though. I was able to see the patina when an orange was cut with it.
