Blade-Tech ULU

What is the purpose of the long slot in the blade?

Look at pictures 3, 4, 5, & 6. After the blade is opened normally, you can slide it into the handle on that slot so the back of the blade is inside the handle and only the ulu edge is exposed.

I would like to check one out also.

That slot is so that the blade can slide through the handle, riding on the pivot pin. This little slot in the blade makes it possible to have a folding ULU type of knife.

I have some new designs in the works for some similar knives of this type as well. I have used this knife a lot and it takes a pretty good beating. This thing has many, many uses...I think you will like the ergo's and the price...Not to mention, AUS 8 is a great bang for the buck.:D

Now I see it, I thought it was closed in those pictures (thanks for pointing them out Esav).

Cool looking design and I agree, it does not show much wear in the pictures eithers.

I'm buying one as well. Even if I never use it (which is highly unlikely), the cool factor makes up for that.

This one really has me intrigued. I would also like to be included in a pass around if it occurs. I leafed through KI in the bookstore today and this design looks really cool. Any idea of retail price??

Just to let you guys know... The ULU's are shipping!!! I need to get one of you guys to help me organize a pass-around! Please PM me if you are interested.

I might be interested in organizing the pass around. I have never done it, but am available to get onto the net for a while each night.

I do not have pm availability, but you can e-mail me at:
