Blade West Picture Thread

great pics....

it was nice that Kraz was willing to burn up some air miles to make the long journey just for a day trip to come meet the folks from the rust belt, even though he took home enough INFI to supply most of the rest of them. it was good to meet at least one of the california busse contingent, hopefully more can make it next year. it was also good to see some of the local folks again from last year, and to put some names to some new local faces as well, although some of them were not quite so local (MMIAM, and one other from canada who's name escapes me) and it was a several hour drive for them.

i don't know if the vendors were able to request spaces, but whether it was by chance or not it was kind of cool to see brian from okuden and bill siegle next to each other and right across the aisle from the busse/scrap tables. i'm sorry i had to miss out on dinner saturday night, it would have been nice to get to know some of you guys a little better. all in all a nice show, it's two years now for both my son and i and he is ready to start his own collection. not just for the busse table, but every vendor there was just as friendly to my son as they were to the paying customers and i think seeing that from knife people has a big impact on him as well as his just wanting some candy and loot.

looking forward to doing it again next year,

Winston

It was nice to meet those of you that were there at the show when I popped in on Saturday. Gotta say all that INFI was tempting, but I had my eyes on this beauty since the pics were posted of it with the others.

Oh yah, the candy at Troy's Swamp Rat table was a nice touch!

Really cools pics, Fellerz! Thanks for sharing 'em..

.

I want to see a shot of all the leftovers that Porkducci gobbled up. :D

Well, I finally got home after a full weekend taking care of Skunk, man he is a handfull!!! So, here are a few pictures I took:

Here is Viki and Scott trying to decide if they are going to let me have this Custom Shop ASH-1.

Here are the knives I bought on Friday:

Here are the knives I got on Saturday:

And here are the knives that were left for Sunday:

Skunk is pointing out the one knife I didn't buy that was for sale.

"Vicki, don't tell Jerry I'm drinking on the job and that I'm working hard to sell all these cool knives he sent. I know Porkducci already bought everything and there is nothing left to sell, but don't tell Jerry, I want another beer!!! Burp!!!!!"

"Vicki, wouldn't this look cool in my safe at home?"

Here is Troy praying his wife will let him have another knife and Bill Siegle praying she will also!

Everyone had a great time and I would like to thank Busse Combat and everyone involved back at the shop that put in the hard work that made it a great show!

Dang, the trough was HOGged today! Third through the door and I missed out on the orange/black Halloween ASH-1!! Blast! But I scored nevertheless. When the sly folks behind the counter say it's already all out, be wary, these be wily hogs.
Hey there Mikeymoto is this what you were looking for????

Just kidding, I don't have any McGizmo lights any more.

Man what a blast,
I just got home about three hours ago. It was a 8 hour drive one way for me. I had a one hour wait at the border going down and about ten minutes coming back.
I have to start by saying Thank-you to Scott, Vicki and Troy for Sat night, You guys are awesome.
This was the first real show I have been to and to say I enjoyed myself would be an understatement. Of course the knives where incredible but the people are what make it a class event. The hardest part is keeping all the names straight without my computer. and everybody has two names to keep straight. A forum name and a real name.
I'm sure I can't remember all the names of people I met but here are a few.

The People I met really made the show for me. There are a few knives I wish a hadn't set down on the table because they got snapped up right away. If your not sure if you want to buy somthing, just put it down and watch somebody grab it and buy it. Instantly you are positive that you did indeed want very much to buy that exact knife!!!;)

Thank-you everybody for making it a great time for me. I enjoyed meeting you all and can hardly wait for the next one.
I'll post some pics of the haul tommorrow. I'm to wiped tonight.
I didn't really get any pics of the show. I was like a deer in the headlights walking around with a stupid grin on my face. sorry guys. thank goodness for Mikeymoto and his camera.
I'll leave you all with just a few pics from unwrpping stuff from the show when I got home.

The one from the left at the bottom is a GW with black G10 and a dark green coating--almost a forest green.

What is that third row from the right, fourth one down?
(also 2nd row from the left at the bottom?)

Oh thats a nice from a set of three. Ask Stansbrew about it. He can show you more close up pictures. ;)

Stansbrew, you should have bought the third one bro. It drove me nuts the rest of the show.

It was nice to meet you Kelly.

That is a dang good haul!

Glad you had a safe trip back home.

It was great to meet you as well. Did you have one of those Beer milkshakes after we left? I wish I would have tried one now! That was a very cool place.
Thanks so much for hooking me up with those Rats. I love them. I'm really missing your Dog though. Maybe I need to make payments?

Cheers

Sorry Hog Feet--I must have been dyslexic when I was looking at that picture...

Kelly,

I absolutely did have a beer milk shake and it was tasty. On top of that burger and the other festive beverages I had, I was plenty full though.

I am glad you like the Rats. I have sure enjoyed them.

The two you picked up from me are fairly hard to come by, but...

As far as I know, that Dogskinner is only available at one place right now and it's sitting next to me:D

Isaacson would probably know if there were any others. I'll try to remember to check with him.

Payment plans are accepted;)

Cheers,

Justin

I can't tell for sure from the distant pics... but I would guess that it is a highly modified BATAC with finger grooves, narrower blade, spine serrations.

Can someone please post a close up of that one? It looks pretty badass :thumbup:

A closeup of the star of the show...she is a beaut.

What is that on the note under the Proto Bowie? And does anyone know how thick that knife is? thanks.

Who scored the Drop Point Meaner? I would like to see a close-up shot.
