BladeForums 2024 Traditional Knife

I'm on the fence about this one, $250 for a knife design that isn't finalized is a bit of a leap. Bone scales might be enough incentive.
For me it’s more about supporting a tradition, and representing something that brings me joy in life (Bladeforums).

Also, it’s a GEC so it’s going to be well made! I actually like the pattern quite a bit as well. Seems very usable.

I wonder if this model will feel heftier or more equal to the GEC 35.
That cattleman (and a Boker Barlow) have been my EDCs for a long time.

I'd soooooooooooooooo love stag scales, or anything other than red or reddish (just because my GEC 35 EDC is already red).

Just a clarification for those that may be distracted by the image and read no further. The jigged amber bone is called out under the pic...above the pic it still says the handle is tbd.
Hold on a sec, what does that mean?

>Jigged Amber dyed bone, shield to be determined.

and

> Handle material color, stamp, shield will be determined ASAP.

Does Spark mean something other than scales when referring to "handle material color"?

Please type slowly, I'm blonde.

It's OK, just consider the Forum Knife as blonde too.

For the blade or shield, I wonder if "Big Daddy" would make sense.

(I'm looking at my gorgeous Case stockman that my wife gave me with "Dad" and a nice silver cross on it).

Surprised they are signing up for S# requests across the board. Not really a way to know if someone already requested a # I guess you put in a request and hope for the best. Either way will be a winner of a knife.

If this were just a few years back I would have requested the number of my son's Cub Scout den.
