The Wombat is one of the fastest runners ..up to 40kmph under 150m and can turn on a dime....an Emu known for its long stride and light weight construction having been clocked at a mere 50kmph.
This means no human including the likes of Usain Bolt could catch a Wombat before it disappeared down its hole...and horrifyingly if you did go in the hole after it.....it would be waiting for you and crush you against the side...Even our cute cuddly creatures are deadly.
