This is a bowie made from 5160 with an overall length of about 15'' and a blade length around 10''. It has a curly maple handle with eight point star silver wire inlays on both sides.
And here it is with the sheath that Butch Hagedorn made for it:
This is my favorite DH3 of the year I think.. But that latest ladder bowie is next in line. Eh, who knows, I could have that backwards. Anyone have the original size photo? I know Don Hanson will win this contest, its just a matter of time and I hope this is it (even though I don't own this.)
Great stuff gents! Thanks for all the submissions so far. Please remember to number the entries (1 through x) in each new post. Not necessary if there is only one knife, but much appreciated otherwise. Karl - love that ivory number.
Here are a bunch more:
1. Russ Andrews – Persian Fighter
It was good to see Jim post up that fine Persian fighter by White - here's another.
2. Kevin Cashen Blackwood Bowie
Classic Cashen goodness.
3. Jerry Fisk
Saw this at Little Rock last year - wow.
4. Lin Rhea
Not the fanciest piece here (or even the fanciest Rhea) but this one fits my eye quite perfectly.
5. J.R. Cook
Pretty pearl can't diminish the badass southwest profile.
6. Tad Lynch – Stag Bowie
Something about stag and carbon that just seems to right on a bowie. Particulary stag as nice as this, finished with a filed butt cap.
7. David Wesner
Tight ladder that runs right through into tight Koa and a super-cool takedown mechanism.
